Customer information is obtained from the customer themselves with their consent and in relation to their bookings, purchases, inquiries, or applications for services, as well as through customer service, requests for quotations, orders, contracts, or other contacts. Information is also collected through the use of the customer’s services, websites, or products, and during various marketing activities, such as marketing raffles, competitions, and events. All customer contacts may be recorded. These recordings are used to verify interactions, handle complaints, and improve customer service.
For current or potential employment relationships, personal data is collected during recruitment, at the start of employment, and as employment continues, based on the information provided by the employee.

6. Purpose of Processing Personal Data
The general legal basis under Section 8 of the Personal Data Act includes employment, prospective employment, customer relationship, customer consent, business cooperation, assignment given by the customer, or execution of contracts and legal rights and obligations.
Personal data of customers, potential customers, and employees or prospective employees may be used for the following:

The security and accessibility of the customer register are ensured by technical and organizational means to protect against unauthorized access, accidental or illegal destruction, alteration, disclosure, or transfer.
Physical documents are stored at Karun-Palvelut’s premises in locked and monitored storage areas and cabinets.
Data in the customer register is stored in databases protected by firewalls, passwords, and other technical methods. Access is limited to Karun-Palvelut employees or authorized individuals who need the data in their work duties. Karun-Palvelut requires its personnel and partners to commit to the confidentiality of customer information.
Data in the register is retained for the duration of the customer or employment relationship or as long as necessary for the purposes described. Data may be retained longer if required by law (e.g., accounting) or contractual obligations. Outdated and unnecessary data is regularly deleted.
10. Right of Access, Prohibition, and Correction
Registered individuals have the right, under the Personal Data Act, to access their personal data and request correction of incorrect data. Upon written request, necessary corrections, additions, or deletions of erroneous, unnecessary, incomplete, or outdated data will be made. Data may be deleted upon request or termination of partnership, provided no legal or technical barriers exist.
To verify identity, requests must be sent in writing and signed. For inquiries regarding access or updates, contact the registry contact person.
Registered individuals have the right to modify or prohibit the processing of their personal data for direct marketing by contacting the registry contact person. If the customer opts out of direct marketing, they will not receive such communications, but essential service-related communications will still be sent.
11. Changes
Karun-Palvelut continues to develop its business and reserves the right to amend this privacy policy. Changes may also result from amendments to legislation.
